Young Adults are our next generation…

Did you know - 14% (over 700,000) of the young adult population (ages 17-21) in South Carolina are struggling without high school degrees or employment.  Many young people have found that employment alone does not guarantee they can meet all of their basic needs.  Their ability to find a clear career path and direction for higher education is linked to a lack of financial knowledge and other resources.  We believe that this is a crucial time to help young adults transition into adulthood.  We want them to avoid experiencing the hardship of poverty.  They’ll learn  how to manage their finances, gain employment and emotional stability.  Through the Ripple program, they will gain confidence and self esteem that will create a strong pathway to success.

In response to this need, we have created a new program called Generation Ripple.  We use the Ripple of One model of education, mentoring and incentives to help our next generation become independent.

This program focuses on

  1. High school juniors and seniors who need extra motivation and support to graduate

  2. Recent graduates who are still struggling for financial stability and career path.

Ripple of One Incentives

  • Monthly gift cards for reaching goals in the areas of attendance record, grades, attitude, health

  • Paid internships to build resume and work experience
