Who We Serve

Stop Enabling.  Start Empowering

Poverty statistics in South Carolina are stunning.  42% (over 1 million) of single parent families are living on public assistance.   14% (over 700,000) of the young adult population (age 17-24) are struggling without high school degrees or employment.  They face challenges to obtain the basic needs; like food, housing, healthcare.  In the midst of everyday demands, the stress can be insurmountable and people lose hope. That is where Ripple of One steps in.  We believe that people with the right support and direction can move beyond dependence on public assistance to a life where they can enjoy financial freedom.

Our vision is to empower families and young adults to gain financial freedom and not be dependent on public assistance. Our mission is to walk alongside our participants, taking each step with them on their journey to independence.
