BOARD CHAIR: Randy retired in 2006 after 38 years of operational leadership roles with Mitsubishi Polyester Films (previously Hoechst Celanese) and General Electric Company. At the time of his retirement, Randy was Director of Operations for Mitsubishi Polyester Films which included direct operational responsibilities for American operations but also one of three members of the global manufacturing committee which were responsible for operations in America, Europe and Asia.
In leadership roles for Mitsubishi, Randy was also directly responsible for business turnaround initiatives including change management processes, establishment of world class safety performance processes, and lean-six sigma business process implementation.
Randy was active in the Greenville Chamber of Commerce serving as both chairman and executive board member for the Upstate Manufacturing Council and a graduate of Leadership Greenville.
Randy graduated from Clemson University in 1966 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Management. Randy and his wife, Clinta, live in Seneca, SC, and have one son, Cary, and his wife Nichole along with three grandchildren. Randy and Clinta are members of Fort Hill Presbyterian Church in Clemson and he has served as an Elder in this congregation as well as two previous congregations in Greenville, SC. While members of Fort Hill Presbyterian Church since 2001, Randy recently led a three-year transformation team process and is currently chairman of the Men’s Group for the church.
